I must admit to be rather relieved to discover I'm not the only one who appreciates that album! My friends laugh at me when I dare mention Morrisey. Of course, it may have had something to do with the fact that I still have it on cassette...

Vauxhall and I certainly remains my favorite album from Morrissey's solo career, as well. I tried to get into You are the Quarry and while it had some songs very much worth the wait ('I Like You' being one of his strongest tracks ever), it was overall off the mark.

I've been listening to an incredibly bad encode of what sounds like came from a cassette tape of the new one, Ringleader of the Tormenters which is overall more enjoyable than Quarry but still lacks that amazing opening and finish that Vauxhall had. I'll certainly be buying it the day it comes out here.

I was surprised to see that album cover as the first thing I noticed on your blog here , so I was compelled to comment. What a neat feature..

(Also: 'Hi' from a complete eStranger.)

Nothing tops "Your Arsenal" for me. I dont know what it is about that record that grabs me more than his others, but something does it. I still need to give Ringleader more listens before I can form a decent opinin on it.
