One of those interesting things is this mention of a South Indian martial art called Kalarippayattu:</p>
<blockquote><p>There's this idea in Kalarippayattu that you reach with your body an optimal state of awareness and readiness [p19], where you're instinctively and intuitively ready for anything, and it's as if, and I quote, "the body becomes all eyes."</p></blockquote>
<p>Which reminds me of Roald Dahl's <a href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/037581423X?ie=UTF8&tag=stupidfool-20&linkCode=as2&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=037581423X"><em>The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar and Six More</em></a><img src="http://www.assoc-amazon.com/e/ir?t=stupidfool-20&l=as2&o=1&a=037581423X" width="1" height="1" border="0" alt="" style="border:none !important; margin:0px !important;" />, which I hadn't thought about in years, but which I now really want to read again.</p></div>
