Def Leppard's Hysteria!
Thank you, Comet, for reminding me of this, because I went to the iTunes Music Store to listen to some Hysteria tracks.
I also looked at the All Music Guide entry for Hysteria, which pronounces it "the best pop-metal ever recorded," which granted I might take issue with (early Manic Street Preachers come to mind as an alternative), but still I'm overall quite happy with my very first album.
& so seeing the album cover totally brings me back to 6th grade, which is when I bought the album (on cassette), and reminds me of how I'd attempt to draw the Def Leppard logo in my notebook while bored in class.
Early Def Leppard rocks, but Pyromania was a my grade school fav in the early 80s.

Pyromania was the first album I ever obtained in complete form. Some girl (who must have had some affection for me though I was too clueless at the time to understand) made a tape of it for me. Photograph ranks high on my list of Best Song Beginnings of All Time, with its amplifier buzz followed by massive Steve Clark riff. Steve Clark was the man who reallly made Def Leppard's sound-after he died, they sucked.
