I have some sort of soft spot for the Fast & the Furious movies. It's strange, because I don't really care about cars. But I loved the first, was sort of disappointed by the second (Paul Walker, absent Vin Diesel, is BORING), but then really loved the third (Tokyo Drift). (I even saw it in the theater.) I've just watched Tokyo Drift again tonight, and it's as good as ever.
- I made this beef stew tonight. I started yesterday by marinating the beef in red wine, olive oil, onions, garlic, thyme, and bay leaves. And then I spent about three hours tonight both doing the rest of the recipe & then just watching it cook, trying it out every 15 minutes or so with some bread. It was very, very good, and we've enough left to last some four days.
- Prince was awesome on the halftime show.

Is it really good (Tokyo Drift)? The weird mix of scenes shot in Tokyo and scenes shot on some sound stage from the previews kinda turned me off. That and the weird fonts used for the Japanese signs in the movie. The first one was kinda fun and I didn't make it through the second one.

Objectively, no, it's probably not really good--but I really enjoy it. :)
And re: Tokyo vs sound stage, for me it's as authentic as it needs to be, for a movie like this. I.e., a combination of: I had fairly low expectations for authenticity going on; and, it isn't really obviously false for someone who's been to Tokyo only a handful of times (me). That combination was enough for me to enjoy the movie's version of Tokyo as a background (and, obviously, the movie itself).
